About Arraystar
Arraystar is a research-driven company working on RNA modification, non-coding RNA and epitranscriptomics — building the sequencing, array and mass-spectrometry tools that let a study move from a modification to a result a study can stand on.
01Who we are
Arraystar is a research-driven company focused on RNA modification and related non-coding RNA biology. Since 2009 we have built an integrated portfolio of sequencing, microarray, PCR array and mass-spectrometry technologies for the research community.
The work is organized around a simple idea: a modification result should be traceable. Each service line pairs a defined chemical or enzymatic step with a defined readout, so the signal can be described rather than assumed.
That portfolio now spans single-base modification sequencing, RIP-based profiling, modification arrays and mass spectrometry, together with the enzymes, primers and kits used alongside them.

03Technology platforms
Sequencing
Single-base modification sequencing and enrichment-based profiling, from library construction through to the analysis set delivered with each project.
Arrays and PCR arrays
Array formats for modification screening and for expression work across defined transcript sets, including small RNA targets.
Mass spectrometry
LC-MS on isolated RNA as an orthogonal readout of nucleoside content, independent of sequencing or array workflows.
04How we work with research groups
- Scope first. The modification, the sample type and the comparison are reviewed before a route is proposed.
- Defined chemistry. Each method states which reaction or enrichment step produces the signal, and what that step cannot resolve.
- Documented delivery. The analysis set and the tables delivered with a project are listed on the relevant service page.
- Sample guidance up front. Storage, shipping and quality thresholds are published so a sample arrives in a usable state.
05FAQ
What does Arraystar work on?
RNA modification and related non-coding RNA biology, served through sequencing, microarray, PCR array and mass-spectrometry technologies. The portfolio is built around the result rather than around a single product: each service line pairs a defined chemical or enzymatic step with a defined readout, and the enzymes, primers and kits used alongside them sit in the same catalog.
Since when has the company been operating?
Arraystar has been operating since 2009. Since then the company has built an integrated portfolio of sequencing, microarray, PCR array and mass-spectrometry technologies for the research community, and the work has stayed centred on RNA modification and related non-coding RNA biology. The figures quoted on this page are the company figures published on our own site.
Where is the company based?
The headquarters is in Rockville, Maryland, in the United States, and orders, technical support and general inquiries are all handled from there. The full address and the telephone, fax and email details for each of those three routes are on the contact page. The work is carried out with research institutions worldwide.
How do I start a project?
Send the modification of interest, the sample type and the approximate number of samples through the request form, and the scope will be confirmed before a quote is issued. The review comes before a route is proposed, because the modification, the sample type and the comparison decide which workflow can answer the question.
