Customer Success Story
Retron complexes are a bacterial defense system against phage infection. Published in Nature Communications [1], the retron defense mechanism has now been elucidated, where infecting phage D15 nuclease triggers retron complex dissociation and activates retron nuclease to cleave the host tRNA-Tyr, thereby protecting the host cells against invading phages. Arraystar tRF&tiRNA-seq was used to analyze the specific cleavage of host tRNA-Tyr.
