Customer Success Story
Rescuing ischemic penumbra tissue is the main goal of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) clinical treatment. By Arraystar circRNA Microarray profiling, CircOGDH (circular RNA derived from oxoglutarate dehydrogenase) was discovered dramatically and selectively upregulated in the penumbra of mouse AIS model and validated in the plasma of AIS patients [1]. Further, sequestering of miR-5112 by CircOGDH enhances the COL4A4 expression to elevate neuron damage. CircOGDH knockdown significantly enhances neuronal cell viability under ischemic conditions. Thus, CircOGDH can be a potential therapeutic target and developed as a simple, fast, inexpensive, and noninvasive biomarker for AIS clinical management.
