m6A epitranscriptomic modification plays important roles in circular RNA biology. By circRNA epitranscriptomic microarray profiling [1], circORC5 was found differentially m6A modified by METTL14 writer in gastric cancer. m6A modification down-regulates circORC5 that can sponge and
sequester miR-30c-2-3p in the cytoplasm. The upregulated miR-30c-2-3p down-regulates oncogenic AKT1S1 and EIF4AB, thereby suppressing the gastric cancer progression.
